March 25, 2009
Contact was re-established with the spacecraft on March 19, as planned. The telemetry indicates that all subsystems are healthy and nominal. The command loss timer and safe mode parameters have been returned to the nominal cruise configuration.

March 18, 2009
No new events to report.

March 11, 2009
Next contact with the spacecraft is planned on March 19. A joint meeting of the science and spacecraft teams was held on March 4 and 5 to begin the Tempel-1 encounter planning. This meeting resulted in beneficial discussions and several action items to be performed over the next year have been identified.

March 4, 2009
The spacecraft is still in the communications black-out period. Next contact will be on March 19.

February 18, 2009
No update. The spacecraft will remain in communications black-out until March 19.

February 11, 2009
The spacecraft is in a communications blackout period until March 19, when the geometry will once again allow the Medium Gain Antenna to be pointed to Earth while keeping the solar arrays sun pointed.
