September 29, 2010
The spacecraft is healthy and operating well in cruise mode. The spacecraft and navigation teams are preparing for TCM 30, to be executed on the spacecraft on October 13.
September 22, 2010
The spacecraft is operating well and is healthy in cruise mode. The next activity planned on board is TCM 30 on October 13. The team continues its encounter preparations, and is busy implementing the encounter development test program.
September 15, 2010
The spacecraft continues to operate well in cruise mode. The project team is preparing for its first formal test of the encounter sequence on September 27. A Peer Review of the encounter plans is being held on September 15 at Lockheed Martin in Denver.
September 8, 2010
The spacecraft is in cruise mode and is operating nominally. The team continues to focus on preparations for the February 14, 2011 flyby of comet Tempel 1.
September 1, 2010
The spacecraft continues to operate well, as expected. It is in cruise mode on its way to a flyby of comet Tempel 1 in February of 2011. The team is currently building and testing the sequences that will be running on board during the encounter. A peer review of the planned implementation of the encounter will be held on September 15.
August 25, 2010
The spacecraft is operating nominally in cruise mode. No activities are planned on board until TCM 30 in mid October. The team is concentrating on building and testing the encounter sequences.
